Daily Grin September 3
I had a good day off today! I did find the au gratin dishes that I wanted. Well, not the exact same ones that I was looking for... these ones are nicer! lol They were hard to find. I had to go to four stores to find one that had what I needed. I also bought a crockpot today. I have never owned one, though I have borrowed them in the past. I just got a small 3 quart one since it's just the two of us and I made a really nice beef stew in it today. I'm looking forward to some tasty soups this winter and I'll be searching for new ideas too.
Well, I'm pooped and that's all I'm gonna write today. Enjoy the grin! J

The following is supposedly a true story relating to an actual event that took place during a flight.
As a Delta Air Lines jet was flying over Arizona on a clear day, the co-pilot was providing his passengers with a running commentary about landmarks over the PA system.
"Coming up on the right, you can see the Meteor Crater, which is a major tourist attraction in northern Arizona. It was formed when a lump of nickel and iron, roughly 150 feet in diameter and weighing 300,000 tons, struck the earth at about 40,000 miles an hour, scattering white-hot debris for miles in every direction. The hole measures nearly a mile across and is 570 feet deep."
From the cabin, a passenger was heard to exclaim, "Wow! It just missed the highway!"
